Calgary’s Wild Rose Brewery has teamed up with Banff Ave Brewing Co. for the very first time to launch the limited edition Treeline Tango Tangerine Pale Ale in support of Banff Canmore Community Foundation’s (“BCCF”) Environment Fund. Twenty-five cents from every four-pack sold across the province, as well as additional funds from pint sales, will support powerful initiatives that strengthen residents’ and visitors’ connection to the land.
The limited-edition ale is launching on August 4th and will be available until supplies last. Patrons can find Treeline Tango Tangerine Pale Ale at the respective taprooms, in cans and on tap, as well as bars, restaurants, and liquor stores across the province.
“We know that sustainability starts with relationships and connection,” says Laurie Edward, Executive Director of Banff Canmore Community Foundation. “Through this partnership with Wild Rose Brewery and Banff Ave Brewery, we’re strengthening the on-going, responsible and ever-deepening relationship we all have with the land and Banff National Park. No matter if you live in Banff National Park, are a regular visitor or simply dream of one day visiting the Canadian Rockies, we can all contribute as stewards of this outstanding place.”
Banff Canmore Community Foundation’s Environment Fund works to bolster collaboration, build networks, and deepen conversations around these issues as they relate to conservation of the environment. The Fund offers a bridge for those near and far to have a measurable impact on the longevity of this extraordinary place.
“We are always on the hunt for ways to positively impact our province, our people and our industry partners,” says Candace Potter, Brand Manager for Wild Rose Brewery. “We couldn’t be more excited about this partnership! Banff Ave Brewing shares our passion for community, nature, and good times in our beautiful backyard of the Rocky Mountains. We are proud to combine forces and expertise to make a shoulder season beer in support of such a fantastic organization.”
Treeline Tango Tangerine Pale Ale is a golden, tangerine-filled, hoppy delight. Its Mosaic and Galaxy hops provide a fresh aroma redolent of stone fruit, citrus and pine, complemented by a dash of mango puree to round out the hop bitterness.
“Tangerine and mango bring that summer feeling, but the colour and pine notes were partially inspired by larch season in the Alberta Rockies, so it’s perfect for those early days of autumn,” says Banff Ave Brewing Co., Head Brewer, Fred Cloutier. “Pale Ales are a fantastic fall beer style having quite a bit of character without being too heavy. Especially since this beer is in support of the BCCF’s Environment Fund, we loved the connection of taking inspiration from nature.”
